Google releases Android distribution chart of September 2017


The Internet is overflowing with the reports of Apple’s event, how can Google sit quietly? Well, the Mountain View company has released Android distribution chart of this month. In the latest update, Nougat (both v7.0 and v7.1) able to rose to 15.8%. And there is no sign of the latest version of Android OS.

Moving to older versions, Android Marshmallow has decreased slightly by 0.1% and the OS is active in 32.2%, with this it has large share in the Android distribution. Coming to Lollipop, the numbers continuously going down, both the versions (v5.0 and v5.1) of Lollipop managed to secure its second spot with 28.8%. in terms of Android KitKat, it also goes down and it is active in total number of 15.1%.


Jelly Bean is active in 4.5% devices, Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread, representing 0.6% each.


We know Android O has released and started to roll out to the Pixel devices, let’s hope that the OS will able to achieve its spot in the distribution chart.
