Google has introduced the ‘About This Image’ fact check tool and the feature is available to the users of English languages globally and the feature will be available in Search.
The latest feature will be offering the ability to users to get the credibility and contexts of images they see online easily. It will offer the history of the image along with metadata and the contexts users used it with on different websites.
How to access the new Google fact check tool?
To check the credibility of an image, you need to access the new fact check tool of Google and the same can be accessed by simply clicking on the three dots on an image in Google Images results, or by clicking ‘more about this page’ in the About this result tool on search results.
Along with the About this image tool, the company has also revealed that approved journalists and fact-checkers can upload or copy URLs of images to learn more about them within their own tools with ‘FaceCheck Claim Search API’.
