Google entered into the hardware industry a couple of years ago and the company started to offer its smartphone series dubbed Google Pixel. The smartphones of Google are known for its photography capabilities and software. The company manufactures its devices in China but now we got a new piece of information which is suggesting that the company may shift the manufacturing setup to India.
It is reported that the search engine giant Google has asked manufacturers in India to submit bids for the assembly of 500,000 to 1 million units of Pixel smartphones.
Having said that, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai previously hinted at a plan to manufacture Pixel smartphones in India earlier this year. It is worth mentioning that if Google starts manufacturing of its flagship smartphones in India then the company will launch the devices in the country as well. If you are a regular follower of smartphone news then you may aware that Google does not launch its flagship smartphones in India.
Another report is suggesting that the parent company of Google is also planning Vietnam as an alternative destination for manufacturing.
There is no official confirmation about the same at this moment of time and we can take the information as a pinch of salt. Let’s wait for a clarity on the same in the coming days and we recommend you to stay tuned with us for the latest updates from the technological world at your fingertips.
