A recent report from Reuters, Google has met several companies in a try to push Zagat out of its box. This deal will not include the reviews and information which Google has collected these years. Google has bought the restaurant for $151 million back in 2011. Google executive Marissa Mayer and Former Yahoo CEO secured the deal at that time saying that Zagat would be a cornerstone of Google.
Google maps have already improved a lot these years to give detailed reviews online. So it may not be used for Google Now. The informal talks were still unofficial and we may not know whether this will move forward to next step.
