Back in last week, the Mountain View company Google announced Messages for web, along with few other new features. Well, today the company officially rolls out the Messages for Web feature to all the users.
With the latest update, the developers of the Android Messages rolls out the support for web. As now you can view, send, and communicate with your near and dear ones on your PC. This feature is really handy for all the guys who work on, as now you don’t need to pick the phone to check new SMS or send new SMS and it’s one of the features which I really wished to have.
Here’s how to set-up the feature
Once you updated the app, open Android Messages app on your phone, and tap on the overflow menu (three-dots), then tap on the ‘Messages For Web’ option. Well, now open your favorite browser on PC, and head to https://messages.android.com/, and now tap ‘Scan QR Code’ on your smartphone, then scan the code on your PC. Having said that, if you already logged-in with the same Gmail account on both phone and PC, then you may not need to scan the QR Code.
And now you will see the Android Messages on your PC, then it will prompt you to “Remember this computer” and with this, your device will be connected with the PC even you closed the tab. Moreover, the PC version of the Android Messages also have the dark theme option, and it can be enabled by clicking the overflow menu (three-dots) on your PC, and select Settings.
Apart from this, the Messages for Web, also allow you to select the SIM card (if you have dual SIM cards in your phone) before you send a message to your dear and near ones. And you can send messages by clicking the ‘+’ button.
So, what’re you waiting for??? Go to the’My Apps’ section in Google Play Store and update Android Messages.
