From the past couple of weeks, we are hearing that the Mountain View company Google is implementing a new feature that will help users to share files easily as well as quickly, and the same is believed to be named as the Google Nearby Sharing feature. Having said that, the same will be similar to the Apple’s AirDrop.
Google currently using NFC to share files and the same is doubled as Android Beam but with the new implementation it will help users to share large files easily as well as quickly and now it is reported that the feature is started to appear on the devices and it will available for those who opted for the beta testing of the Google Play services.
The users will get a new option called the Nearby in the share sheet when he or she trying to share something and once you tap on the nearby option you can able to transfer files easily and quickly to your near and dear ones who are standing very close to your smartphone.
It is worth mentioning that the feature is currently in the beta testing and we don’t know the actual timeline for the official announcement of the same but it is believed that Google will implement it in the upcoming version of the Android operating system and that is Android 11.
