Few days ago, we updated that Google is all set to launch its new payment solution app in India. And now today the Mountain View company, has officially launched its UPI-based mobile payment app called Google Tez, which means ‘fast’ in English language.
The all new Google Tez is based on UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and the app allows you to send and receive money from anyone. The new Tez app supports various regional languages including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu. Speaking about the interface of the app, it is straightforward, as it will asks you to enter bank account number and verify the ownership. Which you can do easily by quickly sending a text message from your registered mobile number via the Tez app’s interface. Once verified, Google prompts the user to add a UPI PIN, and then you will able to start making payments. After entering into the app, you can then see all of your friends who’re also using Tez, and request and pay money.
Moreover, the app is also coming with a feature called Cash Mode which lets you send money to any nearby Tez user without sharing any personal information such as mobile number or bank account number. As the Cash Mode feature passes “audio” which will help the app to identify the person nearby to you, and then you will be able to pay or receive money when you’re able to find to the desired user. Which means the payment process through the Tez app, will be fast as its name suggests.
Google Tez supports banks such as Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI Bank and all other banks in India which supports UPI. Moreover, as this app makes use of UPI, users are required to link their account to UPI to be able to send and receive money. And the most important thing, to use the app user must have Indian bank account and the mobile number which is taken from India.
When things related with money, security is the first thing which comes into the user’s mind. And that’s why the Google Tez app is coming with Tez Shield feature, which is their 24/7 for you, as it will detect fraud, prevent hacking, and verify user identity. Moreover, each transaction is secured with UPI PIN and the app itself is secured with a Google PIN or the screen lock like password or fingerprint. And through the app, the maximum amount you can transfer in a day is ₹1,00,000 with a maximum transactions of 20.
Google has joined its hands with RedBus, PVR Cinemas, Domino’s Pizza, Dish TV and Jet Airways. Moreover, users of the app will also be rewarded by Google on a minimum transaction of ₹50 or more. Under the reward system, you can win upto ₹1000 on each transaction and ₹1,00,000 every week. And all the rewards which you win, will be transfered directly to your bank account. Cool isn’t?
