The Mountain View company Google is silently working on its own version of Apple NameDrop for a while now and now we got a new report which is revealing the name of the feature.
It is reported that the company will be calling the upcoming feature as “tap to share.” Folks over at Android Authority has obtained the information from the Google Play Services v26.15.3.
The feature will be working by unlocking the device and bringing the tops of the two devices together, and keeping both screens facing up. After that, you can share contacts or send media like photos, videos, links, locations, and even “more”.
Google will also offer a preview screen that will display exactly what contact info you’re about to share before it’s sent. So let’s wait for the launch of the new feature and you guys are recommended to stick with us for more updates at your fingertips.
