YouTube Premium Family Membership is a subscription plan on YouTube which offers advertisement free video and music streaming and it enables a user to add up to five family members to the plan and share the benefits.
The subscription has a price tag of Rs 299 per month in India. Having said that, YouTube has required the members to live under the same roof since 2023 but this was not that strict till now.
Now we got a new piece of information that says the company is going to be strict with the rule. Which means you guys need to live under the same roof policy for the plan. It is also said that various users have already getting warnings from Google.
If you are not following the rule of Google then the membership will be paused in 14 days. After that, the user will remain in the family group but they will be able to access only advertisement supported content.
YouTube is actually following the path of Netflix as the online streaming platform did the same mechanism in 2023 to find the solution of password sharing.
