The Google Translate is one of the very useful applications especially if you are in a new region and the developers of Google have finally updated the application with the power of Google Gemini.
With the latest update, the company has improved translations on phrases with nuanced meanings including idioms, local expressions, or slang. You can find the new update in Google Search and in the official Google Translate app on iOS and Android.
The latest update is rolling out in the US and India today and the same is capable of translating between English and “nearly 20 languages” including Spanish, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, and German.
You can also find a new beta experience and the same will enable you to hear real-time translations in your headphones. This will be keeping the tone, emphasis and cadence of each speaker and the same will be creating more natural translations. You just need to wear your headphones and open the Translate app, and tap Live translate.
The beta feature is currently available on Android in the US, Mexico, and India in over 70 languages. Moreover, the language learning tools in the Google Translate is also coming with improved feedback – tips based on your speaking practice.
