The short video platform becomes very popular since the arrival of TikTok and we are hearing about many competitors to come with a new application to give a head to head to competition with the Chinese player. Well, today a new application called Tangi makes its way to give a head to head competition to TikTok and it is powered by none other than Google.
Area 120, which is the in-house incubator of the search engine giant Google has unveiled the latest Tangi and that will allow users to create short-form videos with a duration of 1 minute, and that will be focused on Do-It-Yourself (DIY) category. Having said that, the Google powered application enables users to create videos based on ‘how to’s’ and that makes it different from TikTok as that particular application is focused on entertainment.
Moreover, the new Tangi features an option called “Try It” and that actually encourages users to upload photos of their re-creation of the video to make a way to interact with other community members.
It is worth to mention that, the service is not open to all the users as a creator must need to apply to become a part of the platform and Google is currently offering the service in every part of the world except the European Union. Having said that, the application is free to download and there is no advertisement to spoil the fun. Speaking about the availability of the new application, at the initial stage, the company makes available the new application for the web as well as iOS users.
