Google Meet is one of the very useful and popular applications of the Mountain View company Google as the same enables users to conduct and join virtual meetings. Now the developers of the platform has updated the Take Notes for me feature and it will be now working for in-person meetings.
The company introduced the feature in the month of June and the same has the power of Google Gemini. This was previously limited to online meetings but now you can able to use the Take Notes for me feature in-person meetings as well.
It will enable you to launch a session directly from the Google Meet home screen on web or mobile by selecting the “Take notes” option and as soon as the recording starts, Gemini actively captures notes for your in-person meetings.
After the end of your meeting, you can simply press the button to conclude audio capture. Gemini automatically compiles a structured notes summary, action items, and complete transcript into a Google Doc. It will be saving the document directly in your Google Drive, and emails the link to you.
Speaking about the availability, the feature will be rolling out to Android with extended rollout starting on August 11, 2026. While the web with extended rollout has already started and IOS with extended rollout starting from August 31.
The new feature will be available for Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, for consumers, a Google AI Pro and Ultra subscription is needed. It will also be available for Frontline Plus along with Education add-ons: Google AI Pro for Education.
