The search engine giant Google focuses on the protection and security of its online users very seriously and now the company is taking it to the next level with a new update to its very popular two-factor authentication app which is called the Google Authenticator.
Google is bringing the capability to sync the one-time codes to the cloud in the latest update, and this will make things easier to switch between devices without having tension of losing the authentication data. Now the application with enable users to store their authentication data in the cloud, and the same will allow accessing the one-time codes on any device with the Google Authenticator app installed.
You can enable the feature by simply opening the application and select “Settings,” tap “Backup to Google Account,” and follow the on-screen instructions to sign in to the Google Account and enable backup. With the new capability, Google has made one-time codes more resilient and secure.
