Google is working on many new products including the upcoming Android 13 operating system and the same is expected to be rolled out next month or in the early days of September. Google will also launch its first tablet later this year as well and now we got a new piece of information that suggests the company will implement handwriting to text capability in Android 13 and the same will be available in Google Chrome as well.
It is spotted in the Chromium Gerrit and it is revealed that the company will implement stylus handwriting-to-text input on Android T, or Android 13, at least on editable, non-password text fields in Chrome and WebViews that are based on Chrome.
The upcoming Android 13 is also expected to offer the capability in the Samsung devices with an S Pen. The devices are using an internal DirectWriting API, and a commit that makes it possible to input handwriting as text using this API.
