After 15 years of introducing the Chromebook, the Mountain View company Google has now officially announced the Googlebook, and it will be replacing the Chromebook. The upcoming Google book will be running on the Android-based operating system, which will be Gemini Intelligence.
Google is actually combining the Chrome browser with the Android applications, and this will be changing the way you interact with the mouse. There is a feature called Magic Pointer, which was developed by Google and DeepMind. If you wiggle your cursor, then Gemini will pop up to offer contextual actions based on what is on your screen.
It also comes with a prompt-based widget maker, and you can type what you need, then Gemini will bring information from Google applications or the internet to make a custom widget. This would be helpful in various situations, such as if you are planning a trip, then it will provide information like flight details and hotel, among others. It works closely with Android phones, and that means you can open phone applications on the laptop screen to reply to a message or perform any other activity.
The company is also bringing a quick access feature that would enable you to browse your phone file directly from the laptop File Manager without having to transfer them. Google is working with popular brands, including Lenovo and HP, among others, to build the hardware. The laptops are expected to use higher-end materials, and they will feature a physical glowbar to distinguish them from regular Chromebooks.
We don’t have any information about the exact launch date of the device, but we are looking forward to hearing more about it and you guys are recommended to stick with us for more updates at your fingertips.
