The newly launched Google’s UPI based Payment App Tez, is downloaded more than 5 million times in India. The App is available for both Android and iOS.
Google’s UPI based Payment App Tez crossed 5 million downloads in India with nearly 1.8 crores Gross merchandise volume done with over Four lakh active users.The Tez app was launched on September 18 built on Unified Payment Interface (UPI). Tez allows users to make any value of payment at free of charge straight from their bank accounts.
The number of transactions on UPI has crossed three crores in September. As per theNational Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). The Google Tez app works In partnership with Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank Of India and available in English and seven major Indian languages like Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.
The main highlight of this app is Tez is not a wallet type of transaction App. To be more clear, Tez is not like Paytm or Freecharge by which you have to store some money in the online wallet. Tez app simply acts as a payment getaway bridge for the transaction.Likewise, if you receive money from someone the amount will be automatically credited to your registered Bank Account.
