Google is seriously trying to up the Android game a notch higher on the software front, with the launch of the Pixel and Pixel XL, it took the camera department to a whole new level that locked horns with the iPhone.
And for the first ever time an Android defeated an iPhone (atleast on Paper: DXO benchmark). Thanks to the default HDR+ mode enabled on the pixel which gave it a monster edge in confronting the rivals. Google managed to get the most out of the sensor with a robust and unique software processing algorithm in the absence of Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
Likewise, Google now wants to implement the same technique which involved in the exemplary performance of the Pixel’s camera. Google camera app has been modified to support the same HDR+ feature seen on the Pixel and Pixel XL. However, this feature is limited to devices which have Snapdragon 820,821 or the latest 835 onboard. The reason behind this limitation is that these are the chipsets which use the Hexagon 680 ISP or above.
The modified app is confirmed by XDA to be running properly on OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8. It is also noticed that after enabling the HDR+ mode the photos have come out to be much better than they used to be.

Besides XDA has also confirmed that there aren’t any malicious codes inside the application and it is completely safe to install it. So why wait, if you’ve a phone which features any of the above said chipsets just give it a try.

Some of the Compatible devices are Oneplus 3/3T, Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge/S8, Moto Z/ Z2 Force, Lenovo Z2 plus, Xiaomi Mi 5/ Mi 6/ Mi Mix, LG G5/G6,V20.
