xAI has claimed that the newly announced Grok 3 was “far ahead” of competitors. However, upon a closer analysis the data shows that it was only 1-2% ahead of models like DeepSeek R1 and GPT-4.0. The Grok 3 is said to be developed using 200,000 H100 chips and the same is trained for 200 million hours.
The latest Grok 3 is available to X Premium+ subscribers, and the company is introducing a new subscription tier called SuperGrok for mobile app and Grok.com users.
It is worth mentioning that the DeepSearch feature is its highlighted, it is an advanced tool and the same is designed to enhance search, research, and data analysis capabilities. The company is also planning to bring voice interaction in future updates.
