Last week Motorola unveiled their version of foldable smartphone, the Motorola RAZR 2019. It has the old and original design of RAZR V3. And instead of physical buttons or something, it’s just a single screen that gets folded along with the device. The first look got some really great response from public as well as reviewers, because the tech seems ready to use, people find it more convenient than other designs, and lastly it gives the nostalgic moment of old RAZR V3.
At the time of launch Motorola only revealed the price of USA. Now yesterday they revealed the European price of this RAZR 2019, and it’s €1,600. The pre-orders in Italy, Germany, Sweden, and Netherlands will start from 4th December. The sales in all these regions will start sometimes in January. The launch of Netherlands is supposed to take place on 24th November. This device is currently going to be sold in UK exclusively by EE, a telecom company out there. The UK pricing should be around £1,400 without SIM (but only EE SIM card will work of course), and with SIM price is yet to know.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Though Motorola is charging a hefty price for this new tech, it’s worth for a try if you can afford it easily. But personally I think that they should have given better internals like at least dual camera setup, Snapdragon 855 chipset, and bigger battery. Also I do understand that this is just a beginning of foldable smartphones, so there should be restrictions at place. Well, are you going to spend a hefty price for a innovation like this?
