The all-new Thuraya X5-Touch will allow you to connect between both the connections i.e. satellite and GSM. Worth to mention that, the device manufacturer has developed a widget which is on the home screen to know which connection is working on the device.
Moreover, the device runs on the Android which will give a user to access all the applications through the Google Play Store. Well, as the device runs on the Android, I hope that we will see more application will be developed for the satellite phone.
The company didn’t mention all the specification details of the device, but the company has said that the Thuraya X5-Touch will have dual SIM cards slots and it has the IP67 standard to protect the device from the dust and water and complies with MIL standard.
The device also has a rear end front facing camera, along with an SOS button. It also comes with an advanced tracking and navigation system, and for connectivity, the device has Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth. In terms of battery capacity, the company has mentioned that it will have a huge battery to make sure the extended talk-time and standby time.
There is no information about both the pricing and availability of the device, but it is really great to know that a device which will provide you both kind of connections is ready. And I hope that the company will bring the device into the market very soon.
