As expected, the Chinese telecommunication giant Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has unveiled its new mid-range smartphone called Honor 30S and that is coming with Huawei’s first mid-range chip with the power of next-generation telecommunication chipset 5G. The smartphone also comes with impressive specs and the same has a premium glass as well as aluminum design. Specifications of Honor 30S
The smartphone features a 6.5 inch IPS LCD display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a punch-hole design at the left corner of the screen as well as a 20:9 aspect ratio, the device also comes with HDR10+ support and offers an 83.8% screen to body ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by an in-house Kirin 820 processor and that is also capable for the 5G connectivity as well, the device is paired with 8GB RAM along with Mali-G57 6 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device comes with 128 GB and 256 GB of internal storage.
Moving to the photography department, the latest Honor 30S rocks quad rear camera setup and that’s in the combination of a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, followed by an 8MP telephoto f/2.4 lens with 3x optical and up to 20x hybrid zoom, alongside an 8MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.4 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Upfront, the smartphone offers a 16MP front camera for selfies and video calls. For security, the smartphone supports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for the additional layer of security.

The smartphone runs on Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1 and the same comes with HMS which means the device will not have Google Mobile Suite i.e. Gmail, YouTube, and other popular apps. Finally, the smartphone packs on a 4,000 mAh battery with 40W fast charging technology.
Pricing and availability
The 128GB variant of the Honor 30S is priced at CNY 2,399 while the 256GB variant will available for CNY 2,699, and the smartphone is available for pre-order. It will go on sale on April 7 in China and there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
