The very popular mobile chipset maker Qualcomm introduced the latest processor called Snapdragon 778G processor and brings high-end features on the mid-range segment. Now the mobile chipset maker has confirmed that it has joined its hand with the Chinese brand Honor.
Qualcomm shared a tweet on its official Twitter handle and that confirms the collaboration with Honor will be announced at the 5G Summit. The tweet was also retweeted by the official Honor account with Honor 50.
That means the upcoming Honor 50 series will feature the new mobile processor as the devices are making noise for the past couple of weeks. Everything about Snapdragon 778G 5G
The newly unveiled Snapdragon 778G 5G powered by a Cortex-A78 custom-made Kryo 670 CPU that is clocked at 2.4GHz and the same also features Adreno 642L for the graphical task and the same also support for Vulkan 1.1, OpenGL 3S 3.1, OpenCL 2.0 FP, HDR10+, and HDR10.
Honor 50 also features up to Full HD+ resolution along with a 144Hz refresh rate, and the same can offer up to 10-bit colour depth, it also features Rec2020 colour gamut. Snapdragon 778G 5G is coming with a sixth AI engine with Hexagon 770 processor and the latest chip comes with Snapdragon Elite Gaming features.
Honor 50 also features a triple 14-bit Spectra 570 ISP and the processor can support up to 192-megapixel single camera or up to 36-megapixel + 22-megapixel dual-camera system, and up to 22-megapixel triple camera setup. The ISP is also coming with the ability to support 10-bit HDR HEIF / HEIC photo capture, along with AI-based autofocus, multi-frame noise reduction, 720p/240fps slow-motion video shooting, HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG.
Snapdragon 778G 5G is equipped with Snapdragon X53 5G modem-RF system and the same can offer download speeds of 3.3Gbps along with mmWave (400Mhz bandwidth with 2×2 MIMO) and sub-6 GHz (100Mhz bandwidth with 4×4 MIMO) 5G spectrums.
The newly announced mobile processor also supports up to Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, dual-frequency GPS, USB 3.1, and USB-C. The latest Snapdragon 778G 5G features Qualcomm 3D Sonic and 3D Sonic Max fingerprint scanners, Snapdragon 778G 5G and the same also supports other biometric authentications such as iris, voice, and face. It is also coming with support for faster Quick Charge 5 technology.
