The latest teaser shows both devices will come with an ultra-slim body and a poster is circulating on the social media handles in China that suggests a horizontal camera module on the back.
Honor will be launching the Honor 500 with a dual-camera setup, while the Honor 500 Pro model will come with three cameras. The upcoming Pro variant of the smartphone series is also believed to come with a dedicated camera button, enabling quick capture and zoom controls.
The upcoming smartphone series will be coming with the power of the Snapdragon 8 series chipsets and the devices will come with enhanced gaming performance powered by the brand’s Phantom Engine 3.0 technology.
Based on the previous reports, the upcoming Honor 500 series will feature a 6.55-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 4,320Hz PWM dimming. The devices will be running on the latest Android 16 operating system.
It is expected that the company will be offering the devices with a 50-megapixel front shooter, a 200-megapixel OIS-enabled main sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, while the Pro model could add a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
The vanilla variant is expected to come with the power of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and the big brother of the smartphone series will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. It is expected to come with an 8,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging for the Pro variant. The smartphone series is also expected to feature dual speakers, infrared, NFC, and IP68/69 dust and water resistance.
