Along with the Honor Play, which is the flagship cum gaming smartphone, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched called Honor 9i (2018). This device falls in the mid-range category, and the smartphone is a successor of last year’s Honor 9i. So, let’s check out the specification, pricing, and availability details of the device.
The device comes with 5.84 inch FHD+ display with 2.5D curved Glass atop along with 19:9 aspect ratio, and there is a notch on the top, the display also has 2280 x 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by 2.36 GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor and paired with 4 GB RAM, along with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device comes with two variants; 64 GB and 128 GB of internal storage and the device allows to expand storage upto 256 GB via microSD card.
Coming to the photography department, the device features dual camera setup at the back with the combination of 13 megapixel + 2 megapixel with LED flash, along with 16 megapixel front facing camera with LED flash. For security options, the device offers the fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
Talking about connectivity options, the device supports 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro USB, and GPS. The Honor 9i (2018) runs on Android Oreo 8.0 which is based on EMUI 8.0, and the smartphone is backed on 3,000 mAh battery.
Speaking about the pricing and availability details of the Honor Play, the 64 GB storage variant is priced at ¥1399 (approx. ₹14,630) and the 128 GB storage variant has the price tag of ¥1699 (approx. ₹17,770), and the device will be available in China from June 7 (i.e. tomorrow) but there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
