The Chinese electronics giant Huawei’s sub-brand Honor unveiled its latest smartphone which is dubbed as Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro. Both the smartphones features identical specifications but the Pro variant having more storage, RAM, and additional rear camera. Honor 9X
Let’s start with Honor 9X, the smartphone features a 6.59 inch full HD+ display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the device will be powered by Kirin 810 processor along with 6GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the smartphone supports 64/128GB of internal storage and that can be expandable via MicroSD card upto 512GB.
Regarding the photography department, the Honor 9X will have the dual rear camera setup and that’s in the combination of 48-megapixel lens with f/1.8 aperture and another 2-megapixel depth sensor. The device will have a pop-up camera for selfies and video calls and that will be in 16 megapixel with f/2.2 aperture.
The smartphone will support a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner along with Face Unlock. Regarding the connectivity, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5, 3.5mm audio jack, USB Type-C port, 4G. It will ship with a 4,000 mAh battery. The phone runs on Huawei’s latest EMUI 9.1.1 version based on the Android 9 Pie operating system.
Honor 9X Pro
The Pro variant has same features of the vanilla variant but the device supports 8GB RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. And the Honor 9X Pro features triple rear cameras and that’s in the combination of 48-megapixel lens and the 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens.
Pricing and availability
Starting with the Honor 9X, the 4GB + 64GB is priced at CNY 1,399 while the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant will cost CNY 1,599, and the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant has the price tag of CNY 1,899. The device will available for pre-order on Vmall, and will go on sale from July 30.
Moving to the 9X Pro, the 8GB RAM + 128GB will have the price tag of at CNY 2,199, and the high-end variant i.e. 8GB RAM + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 2,399. It will go on pre-orders starting July 30. The Honor 9X Pro will go on sale in China from August 9.
