The devices come with an IP68 + IP69 + IP69K rating for water and dust resistance along with a dedicated button for AI. Long pressing on this button will be bringing Honor’s proprietary version of Gemini Live called YOYO Video Call. The vanilla variant features a 6.58-inch LTPO OLED display with an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 6000 nits of peak brightness, 1.18mm uniform ultra thin bezels, and 4,320Hz PWM dimming. On the other hand, the Magic 8 Pro features a 6.71-inch quad curved LTPO OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 6000 nits of peak brightness, 4,320Hz PWM dimming, Honor Giant Rhino Glass for protection, and 1.18mm uniform bezels on all four sides. The smartphone series also supports a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display.
Honor has introduced the devices with the power of the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile processor along with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. The vanilla variant comes with a massive 7,000mAh battery with 90W wired fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging while the Pro variant has an even larger 7,200mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. The devices run on Android 16 with MagicOS 10 out of the box. The devices support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and more for connectivity.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest Honor Magic 8 Pro features a 50MP (Main, 1/1.31-inch, f/1.6) + 200MP (Telephoto, 1/1.4-inch, 3.7x optical zoom) + 50MP (Ultrawide) setup. The device has also achieved CIPA level 5.5, bringing improved clarity and sharper images. The device also comes with a new AIMAGE Honor Nox Engine for 10 times more clarity. The device also features a 3D depth sensor on the rear and a 50MP selfie shooter on the front.
While the vanilla variant features a 50MP (Main, 1/1.56-inch, f/1.9) + 64MP (Periscope Telephoto, 3x optical zoom, f/2.5) + 50MP (Ultrawide, f/2.0) camera on the back. On the front, the device features a 50MP shooter for selfies and video calls.
