The popular Chinese brand Honor has officially introduced its latest flip folding device in the markets of China and the device is called the Honor Magic V Flip 2. The device is launched with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor along with a 200 megapixel primary sensor, IP58 & IP59 ratings, and a large 5500mAh battery. The latest Honor Magic V Flip 2 comes with a 4.0-inch external display along with 3600 nits peak brightness, 0.1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 405 PPI pixel density, while the primary display features a 6.82-inch LTPO OLED panel along with 5000 nits peak brightness, 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and 458 PPI. Both screens support AI Super Dynamic Display, AI True Color Display, Dolby Vision, ZREAL Frame Enjoy HD certification, and Oasis Eye Protection functions including AI dry eye protection, AI defocus relief, AI sleep aid, and hardware-level low blue light.
It comes with the hinge structure that uses the latest Luban hinge with a dual-side door design. It also comes with titanium alloy and incorporates small-hole technology. The device also comes with IP58 and IP59 ratings for water and dust resistance.
The device has the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor along with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The device is integrated with Honor’s RF Enhancement Chip C1+ and it will be improving signal stability. The device also supports Energy Efficiency Chip E2 and the same will be managing heat. The device runs on MagicOS 9.0 along with AI-assisted PPT generation, coding, file transfer, taxi-hailing, search, object recognition, screen summarisation, and memory capture.
Speaking about the camera department, the device comes with a 200MP OIS-enabled main camera with AIGC 30x zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The front of the device houses a 50MP camera. The camera department includes features like AI image-to-video conversion, live collage creation, and multiple portrait filters.
The device houses a 5500mAh battery along with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging with a dual-coil design. The device also supports face recognition and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the newly announced Honor Magic V Flip 2 has a starting price of 5,499 Chinese Yuan. The device will be available in China from August 28.
