As promised, Honor has officially introduced its new custom skin dubbed the Honor MagicOS 8.0 in the Chinese market of China and the same is based on the Android 14 operating system. The latest Honor MagicOS 8.0 brings improvements in four areas: smart connectivity, performance, privacy and security, and visual aesthetics. The company is branding the Magic Portal for its intent-based user interface. It is basically a shortcut recommendation feature that will enable you to switch between application services with just a swipe. This particular feature is already supporting over 100 applications in China.
The latest custom skin comes with the power of Artificial Intelligence and the same features MagicLM with seven billion parameters operates at a platform level with data processing on the device for enhanced privacy. It is also capable of generating videos and it is the first in the industry to enable users to locate is specific frame in the videos. It is also supporting the voice assistant YOYO.
Honor has also launched an LLM Ecosystem Program in its home country and this program will be promoting the integration of cloud-based and vertical AI models into MagicOS. The company has also enhanced the MagicRing, which was introduced in MagicOS 7.0 and now it will enable connections from point-to-point networks to fully connected networks.
The new custom skin is also said to be 25% more power-efficient along with a massive 500% improvement in speed. It supports eight transmission channels to allow calls, notifications, keyboard and mouse, files, app windows, and photos to seamlessly flow across devices.
Speaking about privacy, the latest MagicOS 8.0 features system-wide Parallel Spaces and you can able to move files to private space through Magic Portal. The company has also introduced a brand new shake-to-block ads feature on the board and the same will be helping you to eliminate intrusive pop-up ads. The AI processing of personal data will be happening on the device itself.
