As expected, Honor has launched its new smartphones called Honor Play 4 and Play 4 Pro and both the devices are coming with superior camera capabilities along with the impressive design and specifications. The devices are available in China and we don’t have any information about international availability. The smartphone features a 6.81 inch Full HD+ display with 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution along with a 20:9 aspect ratio and the device also features a punch-hole design at the top left corner of the screen. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800 along with Mali-G57MP4 GPU for the graphical task. The phone has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and that can be expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.

Moving to the photography department, the Honor Play 4 rocks quad camera setup at the back and that’s in the combination of a 64MP primary sensor 1/1.7” along with pixel binning, followed by an 8MP ultra wide camera, along with a 2MP macro camera and, 2MP depth sensor, it can also record 4K video but it is capped at 30fps. It also supports a 16 MP front camera. It also supports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for the additional layer of security.

Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone runs on Android 10 with Magic UI 3.1, and there’s no Google Play Services, the same is also backed on 4,200 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging technology.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the in-house Kirin 990 along with Mali-G76 MP16 GPU for the graphical task. The phone has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and that can be expandable via microSD card.

Moving to the photography department, the Honor Play 4 Pro rocks dual camera setup at the back and that’s in a special setup; it supports a 40MP primary sensor Sony IMX600, a 1/1.7”, and an RYYB filter, followed by an 8MP with 3x optical zoom. The smartphone comes with dual front camera and that’s in the combination of a 32MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra wide lens. It also supports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for the additional layer of security.
