There are two methods that I have listed in this article that will enable you to translate WhatsApp messages. You actually need the help of two Google-developed applications for the purpose.
Translate WhatsApp Messages using Gboard application
If you are not using the application then you need to download and install the Gboard app on your Android device from Google Play Store. After that, open WhatsApp and go to the message that you want to translate. Now you need to long press on the text and tap on the three dots in the top-right corner screen.
Now simply ‘Copy‘ the message and just hit the message field of WhatsApp that will bring the Gboard and you need to tap the Menu button and select ‘Translate‘. Then simply paste the text and the message will be translated into your selected language in real-time.
You can change the language of the keyboard by tapping the output language button. So this is how you can translate WhatsApp messages using the Gboard app. Now let’s check out the second method below.
2. Translate WhatsApp Messages using Google Translate application
Get the Google Translate app from Google Play Store and open the application then tap on your profile picture in the top-right corner. Now you need to select ‘Settings‘ and tap the ‘Tap to Translate‘ option and enable the feature.
Now go to WhatsApp message that you want to get translated and long press on the text and tap on the floating ‘Google Translate‘ icon.
This will open Google Translate in a floating window with the result.
