So we are in the second quarter of 2018 and close to the first half of the year. By this time many smartphone OEMs do launched their expected flagship devices, or going to launch soon. But there’s 1 brand from which we didn’t got any news on their flagship smartphone i.e. HTC. Back in February HTC U12 was spotted at an event and at that time we were expecting the launch of this device by March, or maximum early April. But till now we didn’t got a single teaser or even a leak of the same. Now today, we got one. So let’s have a look.
This HTC U12 is now listed on carrier service company Verizon’s website. Though it shows a photograph of the device, but don’t go with the flow because it’s last year’s HTC U11. But we got an idea about few of it’s specs. Like this device will have a frameless display. That’s HTC’s marketing term of bezel-less design. The phone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, though no skin is mentioned but we are expecting HTC’s Sense UI here. Apart from these specs, there’s also a mention of 3500mAh battery, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, Bluetooth 5.0 and 4K video recording.
Rumours suggested and we are also expecting that this device will come with latest Snapdragon 845 processor but there it’s mentioned that LTE Cat 12, but the Snapdragon 845 supports LTE Cat 18. Most probably it’s just a typo. Apart from this it also says that it supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 1.0, which of course looking a typo.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Verizon has taken down the page now, but we are leaving a link here, in case the page gets re-open. But looking at the specs these all seems good, apart from typos. Well, what are your thoughts on these specs? Do share with us in the comment section below.
