Here's How To Download The First Developer Preview Of Android P

Huawei Accidently Revealed The Name Of Android P!!!

As of now, Google is in their final testing of the upcoming Android version i.e. Android P. From past 2 months they are releasing Developer Previews as well as Beta updates to a few numbers of smartphones. But right now we don’t have any information about the name of this upcoming Android version or the full form of ‘P’. Now looks like Huawei already knows the name of this upcoming Android version.

A new report from Poland shows that the upcoming Android will be known as Android ‘Pistachio’. This name popped up from the conversation between Huawei customer care executive and a Huawei P9 Lite (2017) user who just wanted to know the status of Android Oreo update in P9 Lite. But eventually, at the end of the conversation, the executive mentioned the name Pistachio.

Huawei Accidently Revealed The Name Of Android P!!!

Now, this seems a bit weird because, from the start of the Android ecosystem, Google named every Android version based on a sweet, like Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, and the latest one, Oreo. But Pistachio is neither a dessert nor tastes like a sweet. But it seems like an incomplete name because back in February, a rumor popped up which suggested Android P to be called as Android Pistachio Ice-cream. So possibilities are there that the Huawei executive typed the half name only. But Google also tests various names of their Android versions before the official announcement, so there are possibilities that the name will change.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. What are your thoughts on the name ‘Pistachio’ or ‘Pistachio Ice-cream’? Let us know in the comment section below and stay tuned with us for more information.
