Huawei recently launched two new colors for their P50 pocket smartphone, which went on sale on July 4. Along with the smartphone, the Chinese company launched its first anti-lost device. In an attempt to further explore smartphone accessories, Huawei launched the device.
Huawei’s first anti-lost tool is officially named Huawei Tag Anti-Lost Wizard. According to the official introduction, the device weighs 6g and is 5.6mm thick. It supports near-field search technologies with a maximum 92-decibel siren and a pop-up window that quickly alerts you when items are left behind.
Huawei Tag Anti-Lost Wizard provides superior functionality with long-range object detection, remote location via Huawei’s “Find” network, and positioning via hundreds of millions of Huawei devices.
The new Huawei Tag Anti-Lost Wizard allows encrypted reporting of location data. Can be anonymous in both directions and includes a long-term security reminder function for unknown Huawei tags to prevent tracking.
Huawei Tag Anti-Lost Wizard is priced at 69 Chinese Yuan (about $10) for a leather keychain, 299 Chinese Yuan (about $45) for a four-piece combination, and 99 Chinese Yuan (about $15) for a single unit. This is three times cheaper than the Apple AirTag. It will be formally launched on July 30.
Anti-lost devices have become a common accessory for smartphone users. The Huawei Tag Anti-Lost Wizard will compete with the Apple AirTag and the Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag, which retail for 200 Chinese Yuan ($30) and 249 Chinese Yuan ($39), respectively. Both were launched in the first half of 2021.
