Huawei launches Routers with Wi-Fi 6+ and NFC Support

Huawei announces new Wi-Fi routers in an online communications conference. During the event, they launched two new routers – Huawei AX3 and AX3 Pro. These support the latest Wi-Fi 6+ Standard. Huawei promises higher speeds and better coverage with the new AX3 lineup.
The company also claimed that it sold 12 million routers in 2019.

The AX3 Series packs in-house Lingxiao 650 chip and offer a bandwidth of 160 MHz. These can reach a speed of up to 2976 Mbps and support proprietary NFC based pairing allowing compatible Huawei phones to connect to Wi-Fi by a tap on the router. It boasts a Dynamic Narrow Bandwidth technology offering better wall penetration and reception. The AX3 Pro can support up to 4 devices in the 2.4 GHz band an up to 16 devices on the 5 GHz band. If set to dual-band mode, it can allow up to a whopping 128 devices at once.

The other devices launched during the event was the 5G CPE Pro 2 Router with dual-mode 5G (NSA + SA) connectivity. It supports Wi-Fi 6+ and offers a peak download speed of 3.6 GBPS. Huawei claims this new range of routers provide a 400 per cent boost in upload speed and 30 per cent latency reduction. The CPE Pro 2 also comes with the Game Turbo technology to reduce packet loss while gaming by up to 30 per cent. However, there is no official information regarding pricing and availability.
