Huawei is expected to launch its new folding device in September this year, and the upcoming book-style folding phone of the company will be dubbed the Huawei Mate X7. According to the latest information, the Huawei Mate X7 engineering prototype features a large 7.95-inch inner display with a 2K resolution and the same uses COE LTPO technology. It has ultra-thin glass (UTG) and the same is expected to enhance both display efficiency and durability.
The upcoming device is said to be built on a next-generation mobile processor and the same could be the upcoming Kirin 9030 chip. The processor is expected to be seen in the Mate 80 series as well.
It is reported that the company is currently testing the device with two different main camera sensors and one of them is a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch sensor and another with a slightly larger 1/1.3-inch sensor. Both are said to come with the support of a physical variable aperture. The upcoming device is also reported to feature a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with macro capabilities and a multispectral sensor.
The device is also expected to come with high-grade water resistance and the device will continue to maintain a slim, lightweight design. It will be running on HarmonyOS 5.1. this device is expected to be announced announced the Huawei Mate XT 2, the tri-foldable model.
