Huawei MateView and MateView GT Monitors Announced in China

Huawei MateView Monitor

It features a 28.2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 3,840 x 2,560 pixels along with a 3:2 aspect ratio. The display has a maximum brightness of 600 nits and supports HDR400. The monitor settles for a 60Hz refresh rate but offers a 1200:1 aspect ratio. It covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space and 100% of the sRGB colour palette.

In terms of I/O ports, it offers a 1x USB-C port for power, a 1x USB-C port for external display, data transfer, and charging. There are 2x USB A 3.0 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, a MiniDP, and a headphone jack as well. The USB-C port supports a charging speed of 65W. Huawei has put efforts into the design as the MateView monitor comes with a minimalistic look and ultra-thin bezels. It is supported by a broad stand that stretches into the base.

Huawei MateView GT Monitor

The MateView GT model is designed with gamers in mind. It sports a huge 34-inch curved display that has a maximum brightness of 350 nits. The monitor has support for both 21:9 and 4000:1 aspect ratio. It features a display resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels along with a whopping 165Hz refresh rate.

In order to facilitate long gaming sessions, the company has bagged TÜV Rheinland Eye Care Certification as well. It covers 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and 100% of sRGB colour space. There is a set of two 5W speakers attached at the base of the monitor.

Pricing and Availability

The Huawei MateView Monitor is priced at CNY 4,699 (~$730). On the other hand, the Huawei MateView Monitor GT will be sold with a price tag of CNY 3,599 ($560). The MateView will be available in White colour and the MateView GT will be available in Black colour. Both monitors will go on sale from 1st June in China.
