After a lot of leaks and rumours of Huawei’s flagship P30 series, today they finally launched both P30 and P30 Pro smartphones. The camera is a highlight point on both smartphones, especially on the Pro variant. Also there are some noticeable and important differences between both the smartphones, so let’s have a look at the specs of both smartphones.
Huawei P30:
First let’s talk about the regular version, the Huawei P30. It has a metal frame that carries glass on both front and back. It sports a 6.1-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution and 422ppi. There is a water drop notch and the display is HDR10 supported, though there is no information about the glass protection. It comes with HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa core processor clocked at 2.6Ghz and built on 7nm process. For graphic intensive work Mali-G76 MP10 GPU is present. It has 6/8GB RAM and 64/128/256GB storage. The storage can be expandable via Nano Memory Card.
Coming to the camera, it has triple camera setup at the back. The primary one is 40MP Sony IMX600 sensor with f/1.8 lens and custom RYYB color filter, which helps for low light photos and videos. The secondary one is a 16MP sensor with f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens. Lastly, the third one is an 8MP sensor with f/2.4 telephoto lens that can give 3x optical zoom. This camera setup can only record videos up to 4k at 30fps, which means no 4k at 60fps. At the front, there is a 32MP sensor with an f/2.0 lens.
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with EMUI 9 on top. It runs on 3650mAh battery with 22W SuperCharge support. There is no wireless charging on this device. It has in-display fingerprint sensor that’s most probably an optical sensor. One advantage it has over the Pro variant is presence of 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, it has 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS, aptX HD, and Type-C port. It comes in Black, Breathing Crystal, Pearl White, and Aurora color options.
