The Chinese electronics giant Huawei has unveiled the all-new Huawei Smart Body Fat Scale 3 ProPro. This is the company’s strategy to concentrate well on other areas such as smart home products. If you did not know, Huawei was banned recently in America by the administration and this affected them considerably which is the reason for this shift in the focus.
Huawei Smart Body Fat Scale 3 Pro Specifications and Features
The Huawei Smart Body Fat Scale 3 Pro features an LED display placed under tempered glass protection. It consists of a transparent ITO conductive film (electrode) and the body is made of ABS engineering plastic. As it’s a smart scale it comes equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth which helps sync the data with a companion app and if needed store data in the cloud.
The company claims that the data accuracy is because it measures weight contributed by upper limbs, lower limbs, and torso, unlike the weighing scales that use only four electrodes. It is recommended for people from 6 to 8 years of age. In addition, the Huawei smart scale can detect fatty liver abnormalities. It is powered by 3x AA batteries which will last up to 360 days when used once a day. It weighs just 2.25 KG.
The Huawei Smart Body Fat Scale 3 Pro comes with eight electrodes that promise to measure body weight with high accuracy like professional products such as DEXA scan. In the medical field, many-body scales are considered inaccurate as these employ bioelectrical impedance and the measurement gets affected by factors like hydration, skin temperature, mealtime and exercise. This effect is countered by Huawei by using eight electrodes out of which four are placed inside a retractable handlebar.
Pricing and Availablity
The Huawei Smart Body Fat Scale 3 Pro is priced at CNY 499 ($77) and is already available for pre-order. It will be available for purchase from June 1.
