Huawei Unveils multimode 5G Modem, 5G phones confirmed for MWC

Huawei in its 5G event has launched 5G Multi-mode chipset- Balong 5000 with confirmed news regarding world’s first 5G smartphone with a foldable screen to be showcased in Barcelona, February.

Yes, you have read it correctly. The first 5G smartphone is from the Huawei’s stable which will be showcased at MWC- Mobile World Congress. But Huawei’s Richard Yu statement gives mixed clues: We look forward to seeing you in Barcelona in February, where we will launch the world’s first 5G smartphones with a foldable screen” You can notice that Yu has mentioned 5G Smartphones,  Is there a possibility to launch multiple 5G Smartphones at MWC or just a gaffe.

The Balong 5G chipset supports all the 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G bandwidth with great enhancement in Latency reduction and power consumption. The speed number is up to 4.6Gbps at sub-6 GHz. The peak rate as mentioned is 2.3Gbps. This chipset can be widely used on multiple platforms.
