IFA 2020 Will be Held in Limited Capacity; Confirms Officials

The IFA 2020, which is one of the most significant events for business development and personal growth event, will be held from September 3 to 5. The three-day event will be held in Berlin, Germany, with an only limited number of participants. The authorities have decided to conduct an invite-only event, excluding public following the regulations on health and safety.

There will be digital events for people who couldn’t attend this year’s event to ensure nobody misses the proceedings. The event will focus on core B2B functions, exchange of manufacturers, media representatives and dealers who are near related to consumer electronics and home appliances. This year we will see four independent events in parallel with IFA Global Press Conference as the main one. It will only have two or three keynote stages this time. The IFA Global Markets show and IFA Next meet, and IFA mobility will be held as a single event, coinciding with business retail and meeting lounges.

The decision from the authorities was taken in close collaboration with the German Public Health Authorities, according to the committee. It will help ensure safety and social distancing, along with several hygiene measures. Besides, only 1,000 people will be permitted in the event each day. We expect consumer electronic giants like Samsung, LG, Sony and others to hold their events this year, but no official confirmation has come to light.
