The gaming community in the country is rising very quickly and the boost of Smartphones is the main reason for the same. But there are certain applications and games that are creating harmful situations for the users and to tackle this particular problem, the Government of India has created a new plan and it will ban betting applications and addictive games in the country.
The Union Minister for Electronics and Information Technology (IT), Rajeev Chandrasekhar has announced that the government has established a framework for online gaming for the first time and already created a blueprint for the new restrictions.
The Union Minister has outlined that three sorts of games will be prohibited going forward but did not specify the criteria.
It is said that the applications involving biting which encourage users to bet and result in financial loss will be banned in the country. Games that cause user harm which includes violent or graphic themes that promote violence or have a harmful influence on players’ mental and emotional health will not be valid. The games involve an addiction will also be removed from the country.
