Smartphone maker Infinix trolled Motorola on Twitter. They warned Indian consumers against buying the MotorolaG31, which was launched in India on November 29.
Infinix tweeted on official Twitter in Hindi “Baad mein motorona! If you know you know” which translates to ‘Don’t cry later’ , with a wordplay on Motorola’s name.
In addition, Infinix confirmed most of the features of its Note 11 Indian variant and its December release in this tweet. It also included a picture of the recently launched Moto G31 Infinix Note 11 one-up with the tagline “Don’t Go Dossil Just Go For The Kill”. It’s also a direct reference to G31’s tagline ‘Go Dazzle’.
It is clear from this tweet that Infinix intends to compete directly with Motorola and the newly launched G31, which has created a huge wave in the Indian budget segment.
When the two phones are closely compared, the Infinix Note 11 claims to have the thinnest design in the segment, at just 7.9mm thick, which is 8.6mm thicker than the Moto G31.
In the camera category, the Moto G31 shines with 48 MP (wide) + 8 MP (ultra wide) + 2 MP (macro) triple camera setup. The Note 11 comes with a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensing unit and an AI sensor.
In terms of performance, the Infinix Note 11 sports the latest MediaTek Helio G88 SoC against Motorola G31’s MediaTek Helio G85 SoC.The real performance of these two chipsets is so close that users can not tell the difference. Both the devices come with the same memory configuration with 4GB / 6GB RAM and 64GB / 128GB storage.
Both phones get a 5,000mAh battery, but the Note 11 gets better fast charging with 33W support than the G31’s 20W turbocharging.
Infinix recently announced that the Note 11 and Note 11S will launch in India on December 13th, and the G31 is expected to go on sale on e-commerce website Flipkart starting December 6th only. The price of the Note 11 has not been revealed yet, but it will be interesting to see if the phone will be released at the same price as the Motorola G31.
