We all know that one of the most interesting features of latest Android 10 is System Wife Dark Mode. We need no introduction for this feature, which was present in smartphone’s having custom skin for years but stock Android users we just dreaming. But as the Dark Mode is supported by the OS be default, many popular app developers started to give Dark Mode. Now the latest entry into this theme is Instagram.
Instagram CEO has just started to roll-out latest version of their app which supported Dark Mode. This will be supported on iPhones running on iOS 13, and Android smartphones running Android 10. Also those smartphones running Android Pie which has option of Dark Mode into the custom skin can also get access to this new feature. But as this is System Wide, the theme can’t be enabled within the app.
Instead it can be enabled and disabled by turning Dark Mode on and off from phone settings. Hopefully Instagram will add option of enable/disabling this feature within the app itself. This Dark Mode turns all whites in the app layout into black. The top and bottom remains dark grey, while the middle are is pure black now. Speaking of pure black, it would be good for AMOLED panel phones in terms of deep blacks and to save some battery as well.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally I loved this new theme on Instagram so much. I hope other popular apps like WhatsApp and Facebook will also get this dark theme very soon. As for many it looks cool and on AMOLED/OLED displays it saves battery life as well. Now if you got Dark Theme on Instagram, did you like it or not? Let us know in the comment section below.
