Instagram plays videos automatically when we came across it, and it does not have any button to control the video on the platform. Well, it seems that the developer of Instagram is all set to change this situation. As the company is now testing a new feature which will stop videos from playing automatically.
Having said that, the application has the option to prevent the data consumption for photos and videos in the Settings > Cellular Data Use. Now the developers of Instagram have added two more options in this menu, which will allow users to stop videos from auto-playing In the Feed as well as Stories.
So, with the new feature, you can able to set your preference and browse the application in the silent situation. Moreover, it will also help you to save your data. The new options have appeared on the beta version of the Instagram app for Android. However, there is no information about the availability of the feature widely.
