Instagram stories now have over 200 Million active users and also gets new features with latest update

The world’s most favourite photo and video sharing app Instagram has announced that its Stories feature now have over 200 Million daily active users. The Stories feature was launched in last year, and it is copy of another app called Snapchat.

The Facebook owned Instagram has also updated the app, and brings new features like Selfie stickers, Pinning and more. Let’s start with Selfie stickers, it will turn your Selfies into a sticker. Whenever you take a photo or video you will see a smiley face, just tap on it and you can see new sticker along with a camera icon that will allow you you take a mini selfie. You can also apply different frame styles, and it also allows you to pin this selfie sticker to a specific place in your video. To use this feature, tap and hold it and then movie over any objects where you want to place it. Once you have placed it properly, then just tap on Pin to confirm.

With the latest update Instagram has also added more Geo stickers, and the cities for Geo stickers added are Chicago, London, Madrid and Tokyo. All the Geo stickers are created by the local community members. Moreover, the new update also gives shortcuts for your favourite stickers. You can see your recently used stickers by just swiping right after you tap the smiley face. The list of new feature is not finished, as the new update also shows a countdown timer when you are recording a video in Hands-Free Mode. To see the new countdown timer by just tap and hold the record button.
