The Facebook-owned Instagram cloned the Stories feature from Snapchat and since then the series of cloning is continuously going on. Well, now in the latest addition the company has announced that the video chat feature is all set to arrive on Instagram, and if you forget, then the Snapchat has announced about this feature about a month ago.
The Instagram has announced that they are testing a new video chat feature, along with few other features, and the global rollout will happen very soon. With the new video chat feature, users will able to do one-on-one video chat as well a small group, but the company hasn’t said the number of members in a group.
How to use the feature
To use the feature you need to start a video chat by typing a new camera icon which will appear at the top of a direct conversation thread. The company also says that you will able to minimize the video chat and continue browsing through the Instagram while the chat is on.

That’s not all, the developers of Instagram is also making things easier to share content from other applications. Right now, users can able to share what they are listening to on Spotify to their Instagram story; you don’t even need to connect the Instagram account to Spotify for this. Moreover, you can also share the GoPro videos to Instagram in a similar way.
Now the developers also allow the third-parties to design the filters, stickers, and text styles. And the company has joined its hand with many major brands and celebrities for this, and you can tap ‘Try it on’ and you will able to test the new designs.
Finally, the company is testing the Explore tab of the application, we already updated that the company’s testing the Explore section but now it is also said that it will come with artificial intelligence power.
