It is confirmed that the latest iPhone 15 Pro series is supporting local GPS technology as well. According to a TechCrunch report, the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are the first ever iPhone models to feature NavIC for GPS.
Having said that, the GPS technology that was developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the same employs seven satellites that cover India and a region of around 1,500 kilometers beyond the boundary of the country.
