iQOO 5 Series Unveiled With 50MP Camera Setup And More

iQOO has launched its two new smartphones and the devices are called iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro, both the smartphones are coming with the super fast charging capability along with a high display refresh rate. The company has launched smartphones in the market of China and we don’t have any information about the availability of the same in other parts of the world. So without making any further delay let’s dive into the article to check out the complete specifications along with the pricing and availability details of the latest smartphones.

Specifications of iQOO 5 series

The iQOO 5 series features a 6.56 inch AMOLED display and the same has a 120Hz refresh rate. The display of the vanilla variant offers flat screen while the iQOO 5 Pro sports a screen with curved edges. The latest offering of iQOO comes with a 20:9 aspect ratio as well as punch-hole design and supports 1,300nits brightness, 100 percent P3 color gamut, and HDR10+.

Under the hood, the iQOO 5 series powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset and the same matted with up to 12GB RAM LPPDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also supports VC liquid cooling heat dissipation system with thermal conductivity gel.

Speaking about the photography department, both the iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro rocks a triple camera and that’s in the combination of the Samsung GN1 50-megapixel primary lens the iQOO 5 Pro includes a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens with 120-degree field-of-view, and a 13-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. On the other hand, the iQOO 5 include a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens and an 8-megapixel portrait lens. The vanilla variant supports EIS and 20x digital zoom whereas the Pro variant comes with support for OIS, 5x optical zoom, 60x hybrid zoom, and 8K video recording. Both the smartphones features 16-megapixel front cameras. The smartphones also supports an in-display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition for the additional layer of security.

Regarding the connectivity options, the latest iQOO 5 series supports dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, X-axis linear motor, USB Type-C, stereo speakers with built-in audio chip, and Hi-Res audio support. The iQOO 5 backed by a 4,500 mAh battery with 55W fast charging support while the Pro variant ships a smaller 4,000 mAh battery that comes with 120W fast charging. The iQOO 5 series runs on iQOO UI 5.0 based Android 10 OS.

Pricing and availability

The vanilla variant will available with 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage is priced at 3,998 Yuan while the 12 GB RAM + 128 GB storage costs 4,298 Yuan and the 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage priced at 4,598 Yuan. While the Pro variant comes with 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage for 4,998 Yuan and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage will be yours for 5,498 Yuan. The smartphones will be available in the market of China from August 24.
