The Indian smartphone brand Lava has officially introduced its yet another affordable 5G smartphone called the new Lava Play Ultra 5G in India. The device comes with a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED display along with the power of the Dimensity 7300 mobile processor and a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary camera among others. The latest Lava Play Ultra 5G features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The device also features a punch-hole cutout at the centre position of the screen.
Lava has introduced the device with the power of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 mobile processor with HyperEngine technology along with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM as well as 8GB of virtual RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest Lava Play Ultra 5G features a dual camera setup on the back and that is in the combination of a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary sensor and a 5MP macro lens, the device also features a 13MP selfie camera.
Lava offers the device with multiple photography modes, including Night Mode, HDR, Portrait, Beauty, Panorama, Pro Mode, Macro, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, AR Stickers, and Filters.
The smartphone comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and the device runs on the Android 15 operating system. Lava offers its devices without any advertisements or bloatware. Moreover, the company has also promised to deliver two major Android upgrades and three years of security updates.
Coming to the connectivity options, the device supports dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, OTG, USB Type-C, and compatibility with all Indian 5G bands. It also features stereo speakers and Lava has introduced the latest Lava Play Ultra 5G with an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. The device supports an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the latest Lava Play Ultra 5G is priced at ₹14,999 for the 6 GB variant and the 8GB with 128GB model is priced at ₹16,499. The device will be available from August 25.
