Lenovo always tries to bring something innovative in the tech world, be it the Tango ready Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, or the concept of modular phones with the launch of Moto Z and Moto Z Force. The new innovation being Foldable phone/tablet hybrid named Folio which they announced back in 2016’s Lenovo Tech World.
The company told a website that it is not yet ready totally but the work is in progress. They said that there are some problems and it is not with the folding of display but how it bends. This problem was sorted out by using a stretchy plastic-looking cover that sits above the actual panel but is not exactly invisible. The reason being that due to distortion it’s visible at certain angles.

The Folio is supposed to be a Foldable device with a capability of turning from a 5.5″ smartphone to a 7.8″ tablet. The phone/tablet hybrid will be able to fold from the middle section. Based on a hands on video published on YouTube it seems that Lenovo has customized Android 7 Nougat to allow the UI to reconfigure itself to make use of as much screen space as possible.
This futuristic device is meant for those with large multimedia consumption and will definitely be a treat for them. The experience will be quite immersive, be it Gaming, Reading or Watching videos. The Folio device is however far from being ready but Lenovo is working really hard to make it a possibility and then available for the consumers as soon as possible.
